Boyd’s Cardinal Hollow Winery
Christopher, the winemaker, has been making wine since 1995 and it all started in the basement of his house. The 5 gallon jugs turned into 10 gallons which turned into 55 gallon barrels. It got to a point that he felt he should go legal before getting arrested for having over 3,000 gallons of wine in the basement of his house. So, Cardinal Hollow Winery was started in 2006 and has been growing ever since. Eight wines have turned into over 30 different unique varieties like: Jalapeno wine, Whiskey Mead, Hazelnut Port, Strawberry, Blueberry, Mango, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Chambourcin, Merlot, etc. The winery now has 5 locations to allow you to taste, sample, drink by the glass or buy a bottle. The main winery is in West Point (Blue Bell area) and the satellite tasting rooms are in Skippack, Lahaska (just outside Peddlers Village), Coopersburg, Quakertown Farmers Market and Flourtown Farmers Market. During the summer months the winery also sets up at the Lansdale Farmers Market, Ambler Farmers Market and the Conshohocken Farmers Market on the weekends. The main winery is also available for rental for Bridal Showers, Baby Showers and parties. Also, the main winery hosts Food Truck First Fridays and Second Saturday Comedy Nights. So Come on out and have a great time with Cardinal Hollow.
